Finfloor, Artens, Faus or Quick-Step: Which Laminate Flooring Brand to Choose
Finfloor, Artens, Faus, Quick-Step, Pergo or Meister: how to compare laminate and floating floor brands without relying on the name alone, and how to read reviews.
Professional floating floor, parquet, vinyl and laminate flooring services in Burgos: installation, sanding and varnishing, repair, skirting boards and flooring for staircases and underfloor heating, with careful preparation, material acclimatisation and a written quote.
What each name is
Finfloor is a line of laminate floors from the Finsa group, a Spanish board manufacturer, with several collections of oak finishes. Artens is the Leroy Merlin own brand, and Faus, Quick-Step, Pergo and Meister are manufacturer brands.
What to compare in any brand
Use class (AC3, AC4, AC5), which measures wear resistance: AC4 is enough for most homes and AC5 for busier areas. Also compare thickness, the joint system and the warranty, and read reviews with care.
Brands and your budget
An AC4 laminate from a big-box brand can be perfect for a bedroom, and an AC5 from a manufacturer brand better for a living room with children and pets. A good installation, with a levelled base and the right underlay, matters just as much as the brand.
